become effective July 1, 2016.
The completion of the flower boxes will be done by River Ridge as weather allows. Nancy
talked to them earlier this week and was informed that the library"is in the queue".
Nancy attended the Montana Library Association conference in Missoula April 6`h-9`h. She felt
that the conference was very informational again this year. Besides the interest group and
membership meetings, there were workshops on helping patrons choose the correct books for
themselves, blue cloud analytics for statistical reporting, genealogy resources, editing bib
records, and mentoring new librarians.
Clair Killebrew and Nancy Schmidt attended the South Central Federation meeting in Roundup
on March 12`h. New Federation Chair and Vice-chair/Chair Elect members were chosen, the Plan
of Service for FY '17 was changed and approved, Bill Cochran and Sarah McHugh announced
their retirements. Lunch was served by the Roundup School-Community Library Friends group.
Meeting adjourned after a policy presentation by Pam Henley at 2:30 pm.
The Laurel Federated Women's Club presented their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday,
March 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm. This year they offered a reading of"The Kissing Hand" instead of a
play. We had 19 children and 18 adults attend this year.
The carpet installation is scheduled for the week of April 25th. Brandon Winer from Fischer
Commercial Flooring will be meeting with the installer and Nancy to determine when the carpet
demo can start and which section(s)will be done first. Library will be closed April 25 through
April 30, 2016 for the installation.
New Business

take the extra hours to help patrons with IT questions. This has been cleared with Shirley in the
Clerk/Treasurer's office.
It is time for the approval of Montana Library Standards for each public library in the state. Rose
Marie and Nancy will sign the form and send it to Helena for approval. There is also a
