Arbor Day Celebration—May 3rd at 10:30 in Veteran's park
Heidi will take the Mayor's place for the opening comments
Kurt will get in touch with the Veteran's group
Head Start students will attend—36
LuAnne will get flower gifts for them
We'll replace the two red fire ornamental crab trees that were planted two years ago. Very
little of the trees are alive. We'll also replace the tree in the center of the walkway with a larger
caliper red maple.
LuAnne and Pat will go to Canyon Creek (formerly A-1)to meet with Pat Appleby the manager
To select the Arbor trees and get some idea what we could select for Elena Subdivision.
Matt will prepare a map of Elena showing the sprinklers (Good Earth Works) and underground
piping and drains.
The Elena trees need to be planted before the end of June. We have $200 0 budgeted.
Mike Garvey met with LuAnne and Aaron in November and there still isn't any contact with him
by the city. We had hoped to use his help to make sure the trees are planted correctly and in
the right places. The City has not been successful with plantings.
Aaron is asking that the city create a scope of work so that Mike has something to work with.
We decided that 5 trees might be all the area can handle. Three around the pond and two in
the other lot area would be plenty.
Out next meeting will be in May or June
