LABOR/MANAGEMENT COOPERATION COMMITTEE
NOTES
MAY 13,2003
• Departments not represented may send representatives as needed.
• Minute taking can be exchanged.
• 1St 15 minutes—check-in

• LMCC cannot change contract.
• How information is distributed.

• Ground Rules:
o Membership
• 4 and 4
• Quorum requires 3 and 3
• Pam's statement
• Only representatives sit at the table. Only representatives are able to participate in the
process.
• Information can be requested from people attending by consensus.
• Name alternates
• Ground rules are to be typed up and presented.
o Ground rules are enforced by each side.
o Alternates will be allowed by both sides.
o Alternates only participate in the process if they are at the table.
o Non-LMCC members who attend the meetings are not allowed to participate in
the process—only by committee consensus.
o Employees (who are not members of the committee)are not paid to attend.
o Only people at the table are paid.

• Modify to suit committee's needs at various stages of committee's life

o Discern committee's state of mind
o Any obstacles to committee's performance
o New and critical issues not on agenda but requiring attention
• Chair— 1 per side
o Alternate presiding over meetings
o Non-presiding chair responsible for minutes/notes/record-keeping
• When:
o 2nd Tuesday each month
o 12:30-3:30p.m.
• Who:
o 4 per side
o Must have at least 3 per side

o Can be up to speed through regular dissemination of meeting records
o Critical issues may be tabled until permanent members can be present if issue is
not time sensitive.
