July 20th Minutes
A short meeting was called to order by President Chuck Dickerson after the Keep
America Beautiful presentation on July 20th,2010
Two decisions needed to be addressed in order to move forward with planning.
# 1 Do we want to have a silent auction in conjunction with the Awards Luncheon?
Motion was made by Dan Miller that we do not have a Silent Auction, Diana
Rogers seconded the motion and it carried.
#2 Where are we going to have the luncheon? The bids were reviewed and
discussed. Dan Miller moved that we hold our Awards Luncheon at the Elk's Club.
Seconded by Diana Rogers and carried.
The Director Helen Johnson was instructed to meet with the Elk's Club to work out
a more appropriate menu.
Director Helen gave the members a"food for thought"Because we are not going to
have a silent auction as we have in the past. We need to think about having at least
one Fund Raising Activity to defray our expenses. Some ideas immediately came
forward. Everyone was asked to come forth with ideas.
Meeting was adjourned
