Police , Fire , and Ambulance Committee
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. January 18 , 1982
Members present were ; Bill Brennan , ohr. Susan Carter
Marvin Carter Judy Kettenring
Grant Lawyer Bonnie Killebrew
Dave Gauslow Alan Crowe (representing M'.Blows)
Members absent were ; Yarn Halvorson Delnetta Kerr
Maurie Kaiser
Capt. Alan Crowe , representing the Police Dep't. requested approx. 32,000.00
from the Police Reserve fund to purchase special equipment for training.
During 1981 the L.P.D. has reoieved 43 calls involving firearms.Three members
of the L.P.D. are presently in training as part of a city/ooun'y "Crimes in Proc e,a"
team and as such have been appointed special deputies by the Yellowstone Bounty
Sheriffs Dep't.They and the other membersof the L.P.D.,as well as the Reserve
need the following items for training.
2 Flak jackets ( Pal body armor )
2 Flak vests
2 Gas masks at this time we have a limited supply of tear gas
Motion by Sue Carter to recommend to the Council to approve this expenditure
Seconded by Judy Kettenring . Motion passed. •
The Committee discussed reorganising the Police,Pire,and Ambulance Committee
into three subcommittees as follows;
Police ; Brennan chr. Fire ; M.Carter , chr. Ambulance ; S.Carter ,chr.

Bloom Gauslow Kettenring

Commitee to meet Quarterly or as often as needed
