AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE RECODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES
ADOPTED BY ']'H $; crrY COUNCIl', TI~AT HAVE BEEN COMPILED AS TIlE
"LAUREL MUNICII~AL CODE" IN ACCORDANCE WITH MCA § 7-5-107.
WHEREAS, the State of Montana requires City Councils to approve its publication and
recodification of ordinunees at least once every five (5) years in accordance with MCA § 7-5-107; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel Municipal Code was recodified to include all new ordinances as well as
modifications to existing ordinances ove~ the past few years; and
WHEREAS, it is currently appropriate for the City Council to approve the City's annual
recodificafion of the Laurel Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Laurel City Council that the compilation
and recodification of the City's Ordinances are hereby approved.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City
Council and approved by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on
June 20 ~ 2006, by Alderperson Johnson
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second read th~ 1st day of
August ,2006, upon motion of Alderperson Dickerson
