HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 07.25.1978Minutes of the City Council of Laurel July 25, 1978 A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held according to law on Tuesday, July 25, 1978, and called to order by Mayor Larry D. Herman, at 7:00 o'clock, P.M. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Ehrlick Harold Burns Charles Rodgers Ervin Metzger COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None Thomas Kilpatrick Donald Meyers Susan Carter Ronald Massey The purpose of this meeting was for the passage of the annual tax Resolutions as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 1693 General and Specific Taxes at 82 mills the same as last year. (Tentative) Motion by Alderman Metz~er. To approve Resolution No. 1693. Seconded by Alderman Massey. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1694 Garbage No. 1 Mmtion by Aldgrman Ehrlick: That Resolution NO. 1694 be passed and adopted. Seconded by Alderman Metzger. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1695 Garbage No. 2 Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To pass Resolution No. 1695. by Alderman Metzger. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1696 Light No. 1 Motion by Alderman Rod~ers: To pass Resolution No. 1696. by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1697 Light No. 2 Motion by Alderman Massey: To pass Resolution No. 1697. by Alderman Meyers. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1698 Sweeping Seconded Seconded seconded Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To pass Resolution No. 1698. Seconded by Alderman Metzger. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1699 Emergency Snow Removal Motion by Alderman Kilpatrick: To pass Resolution No. 1699. Seconded by Alderman Carter. Carried. MAYOR'S COF~4ENTS: The Mayor announced a city-wide picnic at Riverside Park on August 12th. Motion by Alderman Carter: To approve the picnic. Seconded by Alderman Meyers. Carried. RERBSTFEST BUILDING: Motion by Alderman Carter: That the Herbstfest Committee be given per- mission to place a building on Park Property. The Building to be placed according to all city specifications, and to remain on the park property as a permanent structure. Seconded by Alderman Metzger. Carried.
