Bill motioned to approve the minutes as read and corrected, Clair seconded the motion. Motion passed. Correspondence The Library Foundation received memorials in the amount of$275.00 in Ida Dunham's name.Nancy will send Thank You notes to those that sent the memorials on behalf of the Foundation. Circulation Report—compared to same time period last year... Traffic: down 7.75%; circulation: all items circulated totaled 3,130 (including 266 eBooks), book circulation was down 8%, media circulation was down 23.93%, eBook checkouts for this month was 9.17% of total book circulation; computers: internet use was down 1.98%, children's use was down 58.7%, wi-fi use down 33.17%; patron cards: city residents made up 59.11% of registered users for October,registered county patrons was at 34.34%and out-of-county patrons 6.5% of users. There were 41 tech assists in October. Old Business The book sale was one of our most successful sales to date. Proceeds totaled$1,096.95 after the sale was finished. There are a number of books left from the sale that will be donated to the Montana Rescue Mission or Goodwill. These are books that have been through 3 or 4 previous sales and aren't selling in this market. It was time to move them to another location. On October 12th,Nancy was in Helena for the Montana State Library Commission meeting. She gave her report on the status of the South Central Federation. The annual report was approved as read to the Commissioners. The ASLD/PLD Retreat was held at Chico Hot Springs on October 18th and 19th. Nancy attended training on the Digital Public Library of America,MSL Library Development Task Force recommendations, Protecting Patron Privacy, and Safari Tech Books Online. She stated that it was all very informational and interesting to learn. Library policies on Library Use, Computer Usage, and Internet Rules have been updated and will be available for distribution at the next Board meeting. New Business The Annual Library Statistics are due November 19th. Copies of the statistics will be available after Nancy has submitted them for approval to the Montana State Library. The annual statistics allows the State Library to compare patron use, program attendance,expenditures and collections development across the state for each type and size of library. The library will be closing at Noon on Thursday, December 24th and closed Friday, December, 25th& Saturday, December 26th for the Christmas holiday. It will also be closed on Thursday, December 31' and Friday, January 1St for the New Year holiday. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
