Old Business
Nancy attended the Montana Shared Catalog meeting and the Montana State Library Workshops in
Helena on October 1st-3`d, 2015. She stated that it was very informational—again. Brushing up on
database use for reports and weeding through the Shared Catalog is always good training.
The fall book sale is being scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2015 through Saturday, October 31,
2015. The hours should run 9:00 am—7:00 pm Tuesday through Friday and 9:00 am—4:00 pm on
Saturday. Watch for signs to be displayed around town.
Final copies of the Library Internet Use Policy were handed out to Board members for their own files.
Extra copies will be kept at the Circulation desk for the public.
New Business
Once again, the library will be providing flash drives to patrons that need technology help. Many times a
patron comes in for assistance with resumes or other forms but don't realize they should save them to
something beside the computer. We are providing the 2gb flash drives as a means of advertising the
library.
Nancy will be in Helena Monday, October 12`h and Tuesday, October 13`h to give the fall Federation
report to the State Library Commission. She will also be attending the PLD/ASLD Retreat at Chico Hot
Springs October 18`h & 19`h. Training will focus on the future of libraries in our communities.Nancy
will give a report at the next Board meeting.
It is time to looking at updating other library policies. Copies of Library Use Rules, Patron Conduct
Rules, and Computer Usage Guidelines were handed out for comments and suggestions. The changes
will be discussed and adopted at the Board meeting in November.
