Herman at 7:00 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, February 7, 1978. ' '= ROLL CALL: Council members present: Albert Ehrlick Thomas Kilpatri~k Susan Carter Donald Meyers Harold Burns Charles Rodgers Ronald~M~assy Council members absent: Ervin Metzger PRESENTATION OF THE FLAG: Girl Scout Troop Junior Group No. 232 of Graff Elementary gave the flag presentation. INVOCATION: Invocation given by the Reverend Dolt. MINUTES AND CORRESPONDENCE: Minutes of the regular meeting of January 17th, approved as presented. Letter from the Department of Dousing and Urban Development was read by the Mayor and ordered placed in the minutes. Letter from the Security Bank, Billings, Montana, was read by the Mayor and ordered placed in the minutes. Motion by Harold Burns. To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the consent ~ for security purposes. Seconded by Alder- man Ehrlick. Carried. ~ to the assignment of the Park-McKamy Lease, by leasee, to security bank. NOTICE OF PUBLIC DEARING: Adoption of Subdivision Regulations. Postponed until next regular council meeting. RESOLUTIONS: RESOLUTION NO. 1663 A RESOLUTION LEVYING AND ASSESSING A TAX UPON ALL PROPERTY IN SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 97 TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF MAKING THE SPECIAL IMPROVF24TNS AUTHORIZED THEREON. Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To approve Resolution No. 1663. Seconded by Alderman Carter. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 1664 A RESOLUTION BEING A TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA: NAMELY FROM THE S.I.D. NO. 95 CONSTRUCTION FUND TO THE REVOLVING FUND AND FROM THE S.I.D. NO. 91 BOND FUND TO THE REVOLVING FUND. Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To approve Resolution No. 1664. Seconded by Alderman Burns. Carried. BIDS ON EMPLOYEE HEALTH INSURANCE: Postponed until the next regular council meeting. CITY COUNCIL: Resolved to continue to permit the County to dump their waste at the City of Laurel Sewage Plant. bids Turned the audit~of the City of Laurel from June 30, 1977 over to the Finance Committee. FEDERAL AID PROJECT NO. SOS 56(4): Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the agreement with the Department of Highways etcetera. Seconded Minutes of the City Council of Laurel BIDS ON WATER PLANT SETTLING BASINS: Cop Constr~c~ion ........................ $26,600.00 Motion by Alder,man Meyers: With this being the o~ly bid received, that it be accepted. Seconded by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried. FIREMAN'S HOUSE: Motion by Alderman Massey: To declare the Firemen's house surplus and put it up for bids, citing terms to be left up to the public property committee. Seconded by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried. BURLINGTON NORTHERN MODULATING VALVE: Correspondence - Alderman Meyers presented a committee report on the proposed modulating valve to be installed by the Burlington Northern whe~ water line on Shannon Road is installed. Motion by Alderman Kilpatrick: To not allow this modulating valve to be installed by the B.N. There being no further business to come before the council at this session, motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
