To the Heirs and Devisees of Billie L. Riddle:
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to you because you have been named as a beneficiary of Billie L. Riddle's estate
plan as set forth in her Living Trust.
Billie L. Riddle died recently, and I am assisting Betty Vogel and Sally Schmalz, the successor
trustees of Billie's trust, in administering Billie's trust and estate.
Enclosed with this letter is an excerpt from Billie's trust which sets forth how she wished her
estate distributed upon her death. Some of you are named in her estate plan, and some of you are
receiving this letter because you are the son or daughter of someone who was named. The share
allotted to any person who was named in Billie's estate plan, but died before she did, will be
distributed among that persoffs descendants.
Also enclosed with this letter is a listing of all the heirs and devisees, their addresses, and a
calculation of their share of the estate, insofar as we know the family trees involved. The number
on the far right of the page is the total number of shares allotted to that person, out of a total of
90 shares. We would appreciate all of you reviewing this information, and providing us with any
information you may have that we are missing, and making sure that we are aware of all family
members. Also, we would appreciate your filling out and returning the enclosed form W-9 with
your social security number.
We are now in the process ofpntting together an inventory of Billie's estate. It appears that the
estate that will be available for dislribution, after taxes, may be in the neighborhood of a million
dollars. Given the way Billie asked that her estate be distributed, we will have to pretty much
liquidate the entire estate and distribute cash. This will take a while, particularly to arrange the
sale of the real estate, and there are tax complications, so I anticipate that it will take close to a
year to get the estate settled and ready for distribution.
We will keep you informed as the estate progresses. If you have any questions in the meantime,
please do not hesitate to give me a call.
Sincerely yours,
c: Betty Vogel, Sally Schmalz
