Dear City Council Members:
The Laurel Chamber of Commeme would tike to request permission to hold the annual Grand
Parade on Tuesday July 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. The parade will begin line-up at the Town and
Country Supply at 10 a.m. and will ask the Laurel Police Deparmaent to lead the parade. The
parade mute will vary only to the extent that it will START at Town and Countr~ Supply, go to
the Light, turn right onto 1st Ave and then it will follow the same path as in previous years
*We would also like to request permission to hold the annual Chief Joseph Run on July 4, 2006
at 7 a.m. Registration for this 8-mile mn, 4-mile mn, 2-mile run, 4-mile walk, and 2-mile walk
will be set up at Thomson Park at 6:00 a.m. The runners will begin at the park, travel north on
First Avenue, mm around at the different water stations, and end back at Thomson Park. Awards
will be given out at the park at 8 a.m. We will have people set up for traffic control and will put
the barricades up at the park upon completion of the race.
If more information is needed, please do not hesitate to contact the Chamber office at 628-8105.
No response is needed if you are in agreement with these plans. If you are not in agreement,
please contact the office as soon as possible.
