DPW CONFERENCE ROOM
The Tree Board met at 10:00 AM on Apl1 24~. All members were present, as was Public
Works Director, Steven Klolz.
Steven reported on the progress of work at Veteran's Perk. and that it will be completed by
Arbor Day, Friday, April 28~. '
The em~ng plaque will be ~epaired and flag pole will be placed so
light will shine on the flag. Jennie Johnson showed the new plaque to be displayed and outlined
the ceremony to be followed. Gay Easton will be Master of Ceremonies, with school children,
veteran's organizations, and other groups participating. A notic~ inviting the public to the 1:00
ceremony has been placed in the Laurel Outlook and an account of the program is expected to be
reported in next week's paper. Both Jennie Johnson and Gay Easton have contacted various
sources to prepare this program to plant a new tree.
The next meeting will be May 234 at 1:30 PM.
