It is time to begin preparing for the 2007 Legislature. As the first step along the
road, I have scheduled the district meetings for Central and Eastern Montana for
the week of May 15-19. These meetings will give members an opportunity to
discuss issues that are important to their cities and towns and to offer the comments
:::!'i~ ~nggestions that the League uses to put together the policies it will support or
'~nd next winter.

It is always good to get away from Helena for a week in the spring, and I look
forward to a good discussion of the many tough issues facing cities and towns
across the state.
