MARCH 20, 2006 8:35 A.M.

Scott Wilm led the meeting.
Council Aeenda - March 21~ 2006
The March 21~t council agenda was reviewed.
· Mayor Olson will make a proclamation and presentation to the Laurel Girls' Basketball
Team.
· Police Reserve appointment of Brian Haun will be made.
· Discussion regarding the resolutions on the agenda
· Request fi~om the Department of Commerce to send letters to congressional representatives
end the administration to ask them to prevent drastic cuts in CDBG funding
o Perry has drafted a letter, which will be sent if council approval is granted.
Draft Council Workshop Agenda - March 28~ 2006 · Terry Ruff- fire chief announcement
· Scott Murphy, Morrison-Maierle: Wastewater grant application
· Resolution - Intercap loan for E-911 equipment
o Mary asked to have this item removed from the draR council workshop agenda.
· Resolution - Amend Big Sky Economic Development Authority agreement
· Resolution - accepting bid fi'om Johnson Controls for an in-depth study of the current
system
· Schedule of fees and charges
o Sam is reviewing the schedule of fees and charges.
· Arbor Day Proclamation will be made at the council meeting on April 4*.
· Discussion regarding the appointment and swearing-in of the fire chief
Announcements:
· Rick asked if the police reserve appointments could be scheduled at the beginning of the
council workshop agendas to allow the individual to return to the training class.
· A public safety (fire, ambulance, police) meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22~,
at 4:30 p.nx to discuss space issues.
Steve Klotz arrived at this time.
The funeral for the border patrolman will be held in Billings on Thursday, and the burial
will be in the Laurel cemetery.
o The police department will attend the fiJneral and assist with traffic control.

· Installation of the vehicle exhaust system should be completed this week.
· Gay mentioned that the Tree Board plans to plant a tree in Veterans' Park in conjunction
with Arbor Day.
· Since Scott starts on twelve-hour shills soon, he will be unable to attend some of the
department head meetings.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
