AMENDING SECTION 15.40.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE,
TO ADOPT THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE 1991 EDITION.
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that section 15.40.010 of the Laurel Municipal
code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 15.40.010. Adoption of fire code. The Uniform Fire
Code, 1991 Edition, recommended by the International
Conference of Building Officials, and the Western Fire Chiefs
Association, together with any appendix or subsequent
amendments or additions thereto, adopted or as may be adopted
in the future by the Montana State Building Codes Bureau, is
hereby adopted by and declared to be the fire code of the City
of Laurel for the purpose of regulating and governing
conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or
explosion.
One fully printed copy of the code shall be on file in the
office of the City Engineer. The aforesaid, Uniform Fire Code
is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter
as fully, and for all intents and purposes, as though set
forth herein at length. It shall be known and designated as
the "Uniform Fire Code" of the municipality.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of
the Laurel City Council on January 18 , 1994, by Alderman
Marshall
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 15th day of February , 1994, upon a motion by
Alderman Dicker~on
APPROVED by the Mayor this 15th day of February ,
1994.
