Montana/Wyoming Association of Railroad Passengers (MT/WY ARP) to Host the
National Association of Railroad Passengers (NARP) Region 8 Annual Meeting
Bi]lings, MT - The MT/g/Y ARP will be hosting the annual NARP Region 8 Meeting at the Havre
Holiday Village Mall Community Center in Havre, MT on Saturday March 25, 2006.
Special guest speakers include Mr. George Chilson, President - NARP, fi-om Dallas, TX and Mr. Arthur
Radar; Director of Sales - Colorado Rallcar, from Evergreen, Colorado.
Tlfis meeting will focus on the following issues:
1) - The short and long term future of Amtrak from a financial and practical viewpoint;
2) - The continued importance of the "Empire BUilder" to Momana and the other states and
communities it serves between Chicago, IL and Seattle, WA/Portland, OR.;
3) - The uses and benefits of a Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) self-propelled railcar as manufactured by
Colorado Rallcar.
The cost of the meeting registration is $30, which will include a meal provided by "The Gallery
Restaurant". The meeting schedule is as follows:
1) - Registration begins at 3pm;
2) - First Session begins at 4pm;
3) - Dinner fi.om 6pm to 7pm;
4) - Second Session fi-om 7pm to 9pm.

MT/WY ARP is a statewide consumer advocacy group dedicated to preserving, improving, and
increas'mg rail passenger service. MT/WY ARP partners with NAR.P, located in Washington, DC.
NARP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of 18,000 members that works for expanded and
improved passenger rail and rail transit systems across the county. Montana, Idaho, Alaska,
Washington, and Oregon comprise NARP Region 8.
