Subject: Council Meeting of February 7, 2006
During the Laurel City Council Meeting of February 7a, I was asked about a railroad-crossing
project being planned by the railroad. I believe the location was Railroad Street and 8th Avenue.
We have researched this and believe it is a stand-alone railroad project with no Montana
Department of Transportation involvement. Subsequently, any approach issues would be between
the railroad and City, as the City has jurisdiction over the road.
