Dear Council Members:
Cable Montana is committed to providing our customers with the finest variety of
programming choices, excellent picture quality and improved customer service. We
realize that our customers have other alternatives for entertainment and we're working
hard to offer the best choice and value in the industry. Are you aware that Dish Network
is giving a rate increase of 4% - 9.3%? In 2005, they had a rate ncrease of 5.8% and in
2004, 11.1% This is a three year increase of 26.20% Direc-I-V is giving a rate
increase of 4% to 8.7%. In 2004, they had a rate increase of 7.5%.
Cable Montana is a local provider that supports and generates revenue for your
community. We are a proud sponsor of local events, we employ local employees, and
we sponsor local sports teams.
Cable Montana values our customers, and we are always looking for ways to
help keep their costs Iow. We are offering a rate decrease to our customers, with
several options available. One of the very easy and convenient ways for our customers
to save money is by signing up for auto pay through their checking account. By signing
up for auto pay, the customer will see a monthly savings of $3.25 or 8.57%. Another
option offered is to pre-pay your account with a savings of $3.00 per month or 7.7%.
Cable Montana stdves to keep our rate increases to a minimum; or to refrain from
passing on increased expenses to our customers at all. Each year the cost of
programming increases. For Cable Montana to continue providing the outstanding
ehoice of quality programming and the benefits of new technology our customers have
come to expect from us, we are adjusting the expanded basic service price to $38.94.
We understand the need to keep our prices competitive while offering the best
possible service and value. We will continue to service your community with the best in
