DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING
DECEMBER 19, 2005 8:30 A.M.

Peg Arnold led the department head meeting.
Council Workshop Agenda - December 27th
· Planning Board issues:
o Governor's Subdivision - preliminary plat approval, annexation, and zoning
· Perry needs to meet with Mark Mace, Steve Klotz, and Cal Cumin to
discuss concerns regarding Governor's Subdivision.
o Rick questioned whether Elena Subdivision has been annexed.
· Perry will ask Cai about the timetable for annexation.
· Police Department:
o RFP for E-911 equipment
o Rick stated that the projected time for installation of the equipment is June or
July 2006.
· Administrative Assistant:
o Fee schedules
· Perry wants to present all city fees on one fee schedule and resolution.
· Department heeds should get their department's fee list to Perry as soon
as poss~le.
· The resolution for fee schedules is on the council workshop agenda on
December 27th.
· Executive Review:
o No discussion
Announcements:
· Peg stated that the l~rary is beginning the process of using the new circulation system.
· Jan mentioned that the ambulance crew had their holiday gathering on Sunday.
o Ambulance has a plaque to present to the dispatchers.
· Mary Mded the resolution for insurance transfers to the council workshop agenda.
· Mary will complete the annual report this week.
· The attomey is reviewing the bid document for a vehicle exhaust removal system for the
fire department.
o Ads will be published for two weeks and the bid opening is scheduled for
January 6th.
· Perry asked for feedback fi.om department heeds regarding the draft mission statement.

· Perry recently distn'buted copies of the Athenian Oath, which Perry received from a
mentor when hired for his first administrative position.
· Perry invited everyone to services at the synagogue on Friday, December 30th, at 7:30
p.m.
· Peg will attend the funeral for Bud's 101-year-old aunt today.
