Glenda asked Kim if she contacted Community Hope about the extra display case that the Chamber has in storage. Klm said that she completely forgot about this, but she would do so as soon as she gets back to the office. Glenda explained that Community Hope is looking for a glass display case and the Chamber has an extra one in storage that it has been trying to get rid of for the last few years. Kim stated that new glass would have to be installed in the case, but other than that, it is in very good shape. Bob said that the Chamber would be glad to donate this to Community Hope. This will flee up more room in the storage unit. Discussion was held on the storage unit at Westhrook Storage. The Chamber is receiving the boxcar in order m store the Christmas decorations. Kim asked if there would be enough room in the boxcar for the other items or if the Chamber should keep the storage unit as well. Klm stated that the Chamber has a large storage closet in the Chamber, but this is used to store extra maps, brochures, paper, folders, cleaning supplies, and miscellaneous tools. The Chamber has a mail chute that these can be dropped into if needed. Donna asked Coral if she spoke to steve Solberg about talking at a board meeting about his ideas for business after hours meetings. Coral stated that Steve does not want to talk at a meeting but he is very interested in the Chamber doing some type of business after hoars meetings in order to bring the business people together. Shelley stated that the Billings Business after Hours consist of people exchanging business cards in order to be eligible for the drawings. Each person pays a $5.00 fee and this fee is used either for a prize or to help the businesses pay for the expenses for the evening. There is also a mystery guest at each of the events and if you have that person's card, you are eligible for a drawing. Glenda stated that she likes the idea of the fee to be used for helping with the expenses. Kim stated that the items used for the drawings could be donated by other businesses for this event. It was also stated that about four of these could be held every year and could be held with a combination of businesses so the expenses could be split among all of the businesses participating. A committee should be formed just for these Business after Events so they can be done right. Kim explained that she needs a whole committee to help with these events. She also requested that Shelley be the Chairperson for this committee since Shelley attends all of the Billings' Business After Hour events and knows what works for these. Jerry stated that December 4t~ is the date for the Christmas to Remember event. He stated that several businesses including his business would stay open from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in honor of that event. There will be a parade, fireworks and the Blackhorse patrol as well.
