DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING
NOVEMBER 14, 2005 8:00 A.M.

Announcements:
· Council Retreat
o Retreat is scheduled for Friday evening and all day Saturday, November 18* and 19th.
c~ Perry will give a presentation of the current budget situation to the council on Friday
evening.
· Budget requests for capital
o Perry recently updated the 2003 CIP with new requests for capital.
· Copies will be distributed to the department heads this week, and Perry
requested that any suggestions be submitted to him by the end of the week.
· Funding sources for the capital requests have not been addressed, but Perry has
some ideas.
o Discussion regarding new fire hall
· Ambulance and police departments would remain in the current FAP building.
· Perry suggested a voter approved bond as the fiauding source for a new fire
hall.
· Scott mentioned that the fire department plans to apply for a $1.2 million grant
for a new building.
· Discussion regarding council retreat
o Perry will distribute the schedule for Saturday, which will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at
approximately 5:00 p.m.
o A representative ~om the fire department will attend.
o Larry is on vacation and will not attend.
· Double billing issue
o Ifa resident moves in the middle of a month, they are charged for garbage and sewer at
both the old and new address.
o At Mayor Olson's request, Perry will draR a memo with a recommendation regarding
the double billing issue.
· FEMA Grant
o Budget/Finance Committee will review the purchase requisition at the meeting on
Tuesday.
o FEMA Grant is on the council agenda on Tuesday, November 15~.
