Dear Laurel Chamber of Commerce Member:
As of January 1, 2006, there will be five positions open on the Laurel Chamber of Commeme Board of
Direetom. To date, there are five nominations to fill these positions. These nominees are:
· Dee Dee Crider - Little Horn State Bank
· Steve Diefenderfer - Tri County Rentals
· Barb McLeod - CHS, Inc. (Cenex RefineT)
· Jim Taylor - Yellowstone Bank
· Shelly Townsend - Verizon - Cellular Plus

Nominations for the Executive Board of Directors are:
· Donna Podolak, current President will stay on as President
· C.J. DaMe, current Director has been nominated for Vice President
· Bob O'Dea, current Past President will stay on as Past President
lfyou would like to nominate othem, you may do so by sending the names of yoar nominees with five
signatures from current Chamber members within ten days of this letter. If new nominations are received,
ballots will be sent to each voting member of the Laurel Chamber of Commeree. lfno new nominations
are received b,~ November 14th, the nominees listed above will be voted in at the next meeting to be held
November 17%
The new directors will replace these people:
· Coral Harvey Creek - Laurel Ford
· Mike Nardella - Nardella & Siems, CPA's
Steve O'Neil - Farmers Union lnsurunce
· Stephenie Potter -Northern Skies Aviation
· Linda Wedal - Prudential Floberg Realtors
These people are serving terms on the Board of Direetom and will do so for the remainder of their terms:
· Jerry Bauck - Rock Creek Books
· Wes Burley - Town and Cotmtry Supply Association
· Trucy DuFresne - Avanta Federal Credit Union
· Glenda Seabrook - Countryside Photography/Applied Business Systems

Dear Chamber Member:
The Distinguished Service Award's Banquet is held every January. The Laurel Jaycees and the
Laurel Chamber of Commerce hold this event in order to recognize outstanding achievem in our
community.
Your help is needed in order to find these people who need to be recognized for their
achievements. Nominations will be accepted from now until December 31st. Feel free to
nominate as many people as you would like. Send your nominations to: Laurel Chamber of
Commerce, 108 East Main, Laurel, MT 59044 or drop your nomination into the Chamber's mail
drop. Nominations can also be e.mailed to: seoretarg~lanrelmontana, org.
Awards are given in these categories:
Employee of the Year: An outstanding employee who has served a business or organization
above the call of duty, someone who is a positive ce-worker, motivator, or leader in their field,
someone who excels in their job duties.
Boss or Manager ofthe Year: A manager, supervisor, owner, or co-owner who contributes to
the well being of the employees, business, and to the community.
Public Official of the Year.:. An elected or appointed official, someone who is employed by the
city, state or federal government, or someone in the educational system who contributes to the
office in which they serve as well as the community.
Special Service Award: A person or organization that has served the community.
Business Person of the Year: Owners 'and/or-co-owners in the wholesale, man ufacturing,
retail, food & beverage business, legal, professional, service, financial institutions, auto
dealemhips, etc. Pmyone who coutributes to the community, business market as a whole,
customers, and employees.
Lifetime Achievement Award with Lifetime Membership in the Chamber: Anyone in the
community who has devoted much of their life over the years to the community of Laurel.
If you would like to nominate people for these awards, please write a brief summary why your
nominee should be selected based on their contribution. The committee will review all
nominations and select winners for the awards. If your nomination is not accepted at this time,
his/her name will be kept on file for future awards.
