ORDINANCE AMENDING TItlg OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
MONTANA, TO CHANGE THE ZONING OF LOTS 1-17, BLOCK 2, IRON HORSE STATION
SUBDIVISION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LAUREL,
FROM RESIDENTIAL 7500 TO RESIDENTIAL LIMITED MULTI-FAMILY
WHEREAS, in the interest of encouraging sound growth of the City of Laurel; and
WHEREAS, the owner of Lots 1-17, Block 2, Iron Horse Station Subdivision in the City of Laurel has
requested a zone change from Residential 7500 to Residential Limited Multi-Family; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board has reviewed such request and
recommends that it be approved; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board conducted a duly advertised public
heating on July 7, 2005 at which no one protested such change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Laurel also held a duly advertised public hearing on July 19, 2005 at
which the request for change was considered as was the recommendation from the City-County Planning Board
and at which both pro and con public comments were heard;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel hereby finds it is in the best interests of the residents
of the City of Laurel to approve this zone change for the proper development and orderly growth of the City;
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana that the request to
change Lots 1-17, Block 2, Iron Home Station Subdivision, An Addition to the City of Laurel, from Residential
7500 to Residential Limited Multi-Family be approved.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council and
approved by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 6, 2005 by
Alderperson Johnson
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this
October ,2005, upon motion of Alderperson Fritzler
