Council Workshop Agenda - September 27th
· Budget amendments
Video Arraignment - transfer $13,000 from General Fund reserves to the CIP Fund
for the purchase and installation of the equipment
o City-County Planning Fund - increase appropriations by $20,000 for professional
services in order to comply with regulations for cash reserves for a mill-levied fund.
o Employer Contn~bution PERS Fund - increase appropriations by $250 for council
PERS contributions
o CDBG Park improvements - increase appropriations by $7,471 to complete the
Thomson Park improvements in this fiscal year
o CIP Fund - $13,000 fi'om thc General Fund shows as revenue and then appropriated
for the video arraignment equipment
· Purchasing Policy
Item will be pulled from the council workshop agenda.
Mary will distribute draf~ copies to the department heads.
o Any comments or concerns should be submitted to Mary and/or Peny.
Public hearings:
o Ordinance Nos. 005-07, 005-08, 005-09, and O05-10
o Budget amendments
The LVFD's Mid-Year Report is scheduled for the council meeting on October 4t~.
Announeaments
· Personnel Policy Manual
c) The complete document was recopied and the updates are ready for distribution.
o Discussion regarding employee orientation of the changes
· The list of changes will be attached to each Personnel Policy Manual for the
employee's review.
· The grievance procedure is included in the update.
o Employees need to sign a receipt page for the updated Personnel Policy Manual.
· Fire Department
o Some e-mails are not being received at the fire department.
o Mary will check with the county regarding this issue.
· Public Utilities issues
o Ray Cotter wants to hook into the city's water system

o Discussion regarding annexation of this property:.
· Cotter's property is not annexed and the neighboring property owner does not
want to be annexed.
· Sid's Place might annex soon.
Iron Home Station Subdivision
o Mary questioned the status of the letter oferedit.
o Larry stated that Engineering, Inc. was contacted last week regarding 33 curb boxes
that cannot be turned on.
o Since the location of the original letter of eredit is unknown, the bank was requested
to reissue the letter of credit.
· Mary will call the bank regarding this today.
