INSURANCE COMMITTEE
September 14, 2005 5:00 pm

Present:
Guy Rolison, Chairman
Kurt Markegard
Cheryll Lund
Motion by Kurt M~rkegard, second by Cheryll Lund to approve the minutes of the June 8, 2005
meeting. Motion could not be voted on because there was not a quorum present.
Guy Rolison reported that he had not heard anything back from Mayor Olson regarding several
conflicting issues discussed with the Mayor in June.
Guy contacted Helen at MMIA in Helena in regards to whether they would be able to offer individual
choice policies to employees by July 1, 2006. She told Guy that option would probably not be offered in
July of 2006.
Discussion on any problems employees have had with the current insurance policy. Cheryll reported
that when her daughter turned 25 and had to sign up for a Cobra policy; Blue/Cross Blue/Shield dropped
the ball and didn't re-instate her policy. A phone call was made to Legacy and within 2 days her
daughter's policy was re-instated. Legacy was unsure how it had happened.
The committee set the next Insurance Committee meetings for the following dates:
Wednesday, December 14, 2005
Wednesday, March 8, 2006
Wednesday, June 14, 2006
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
The meeting was adjourned at 5:20 pm.
