Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on September 10th, 2015 at Guadalajara. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: VP- Holly Anderson,Treasurer- Molly Conrad and executive secretary- Marcia Hafner. Directors:
Zada Stamper for Donnie McVee, Mary Lou Batalden,and Amanda Powell. Members: Renee Studiner. We
did not have a quorum,so no new actions could be voted on.
Holly called the meeting to order.
The minutes were read and there were no corrections.
The financial report was read.
Old BUSINESS
• Christmas Decorations - Lumpy expressed a concern over the new decorations to
Marcia. The straps do not seem to be strong enough. Marcia has called Dennis Eaton to
repair the decorations that fell. He will do some research on the straps.
• Sign - Molly and Amanda both know of someone who may help with the new sign. They
will contact them and see what can be done.
New BUSINESS
• New Members-
o Adult Resource Alliance - This is a nonprofit providing a variety of services for
senior citizens.
o Northern Rockies Glass- We had a ribbon cutting for them. They will also be
having a pig roast at their Grand Opening. A date has not been set yet.
o Mountain Land PT & Rehabilitation - They are a physical therapy business on
Main St. They would also like a ribbon cutting, but a date has not been set yet.
• Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new.
• Marcia's Vacation - Marcia is going on vacation. Gail has said she would sub for her at
the office. Molly will do checks, etc.
• LARC Thank you - The Chamber received a thank you for being a ticket outlet for the
recent Patsy Cline Concert.
OPEN FORUM
• Octoberfest - Mary Lou brought up that we should do a one day Octoberfest. Local
businesses could do a crazy daze, we could sell food & beer, have a band in town square,
and the high school clubs may be interested in doing activities for the kids. A committee
will be formed in January.
• School - Community Outreach - Zada gave the particulars for the community outreach
meeting in the MS Commons area. There will be an article on it in the"Connections"
newsletter.
• City Lease -_Molly brought up that she has not heard anything from the city about the
lease.

OLD BUSINESS
• Christmas Decorations - Marcia called the company, and they suggested a stronger strapping.
Will cost about$130 for 15 decorations. We will have some for future fall downs.
• Laurel Downtown Farmers'Market- Jean Carroll, our market master, will give a report.
NEW BUSINESS -
• The Cloud In-Service - Marcia will report.
Ribbon Cuttings - October 23rd - Moutain Land P.T. &Rehab. Noon. They will have a lunch.
