Rose Marie motioned to approve the minutes as read,Bill seconded the motion.Motion passed. Correspondence None Circulation Report—compared to same time period last year... Traffic: up 8%; circulation: all items circulated totaled 3,725 (including 189 eBooks),book circulation was up 8.79%, media circulation was up 5.85%, eBook checkouts for this month was 5.87%of total book circulation; computers: internet use was down 17.44%,children's use was down 10%,wi-fi use up 23.26%;patron cards: city residents accounted for 67.83%of registered patrons; county residents totaled 25.94%and nonresident patrons made up 6.22%. There were 54 tech assists in June. Old Business The Internet Use Policy has been completed. Copies of the policy will be distributed next month to Board members. There will also be copies available at the Circulation desk for patrons to review. The microfilm reader/printer, MicroCapture 7, is set up with the computer on Judy's desk.Nancy gave a brief overview of how the machine works for research and genealogy. Each of the Board members has been invited to come in for a personal demonstration of the MicroCapture 7 at their convenience. The Summer Reading Program continues to be a success this summer. We have consistently had 45-50 attendees at our Wednesday presentations.A number of young patrons are enthusiastically reading their books hoping to win one of our top prizes being given out in August. The total list of winners should be available at the next Board meeting. New Business Officer elections were held: Rose Marie will be the new Board Chair—motioned by Claire, seconded by Dixie Bill Hanson will be the Vice-Chair—motioned by Dixie, seconded by Clair Clair Killebrew is the new Federation Representative—motioned by Dixie, seconded by Bill. All motions passed. Other Looking ahead: August—staff will be taking some vacation days in the next few weeks September—there may be more vacation days,MSC Fall meeting is being scheduled.Date to be announded. Addressing the Board Next regular meeting August 11, 2015 Rose Marie motioned that the Board meeting be closed, Dixie seconded the motion.Motion passed. Meeting ended at 6:41 pm.
