RE: Tax Reduction Request for "New and Expanding Industry Program" from CHS
Inc., (Cenex Refinery), PO Box 909, 803 Highway 212 South, Laurel, MT 59044.
CHS, Inc., has submitted an application for tax reduction on their newly completed
"Low Sulphur Diesel Unit" and related projects located at the facility identified in the above
address. This request is made pursuant to Yellowstone County Resolution adopted from the
MCA 15-24-1401, 15-24-1402, and references real property located at CHS, Inc. existing facility
in Laurel, MT. The tax abatement request will be applied only to the increase in taxable valuation
of the newly expanded portion of the facility. The appraised value and commensurate tax liability
of the real property shall be determined by the Montana Department of Revenue.
A public hearing on this request has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at
9:45 am in the Yellowstone County Commissioners chamber.
If you wish to comment on this application, please plan to attend this public hearing, or, i£unable
to attend, please direct written comments to the Yellowstone County Commissioners prior to the
scheduled hearing date.
