COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM PRESENT: Mayor Ken Olson Larry McCann Steve Klotz Rick Musson Jan Faught Mary Embleton Peggy Arnold Scott Wilm Gay Easton Keith Molyneaux Meetings with Mayor Olson · Department heads should confuma scheduled meetings with Cindy. · If a meeting is changed verbally, contact Cindy to make sure it is rescheduled on the Mayor's calendar. Web Site Task Force · Discussed at the Mayor/DH meeting early today. · Mayor will contact the council members that are on the task force. · Local Government Center contacted the City of Laurel regarding a National Science Foundation Grant. o Grant is available to assist four communities set up e-government services. o Letter of support is in process. o Grants will be awarded in six months. o Task Force would work in conjunction with the grant. Fee schedule - water deposits~ etc. · Water deposits need to be reviewed. · Discussion regarding delinquent bill for Hardee's Restaurant o The current $60 water deposit is not enough for high water users. · Proposed fee changes for all departments need to be brought forward together. · Ambulance is in the process of approaching the county regarding some additional revenues. · Discussion regarding library fees Audit findings · Mary will distribute a copy of the audit findings to all department heads. Washing machine at the FAP · Ambulance received bill for soap that was supposedly delivered on March 9th. o No one received the soap, and the company is checking into the issue. · The washing machine will be programmed as soon as the soap is received. EMS Disaster Cache · Ambulance received a letter from the State regarding being prepared for a disaster. · Ambulance department received a disaster cache, which they are using to augment the supplies they already have. o Supplies will be restocked as they are used. Department Head Meeting Minutes of April 4, 2005 · Ambulance will give some backboards to the pool. Personnel Policy Manual · Department heads should submit all proposed changes for the Personnel Policy Manual. o Birthdays/personal day needs to be changed from the holiday list. · Mayor stated that the Implementation and Instruction Guide needs to be reviewed and updated to correspond with the Personnel Policy Manual. o Should be done in the current fiscal year 4th of July Committee · 4th of July Committee is scheduled to meet on April 21st at 7:00 p.m. · Steve and Kurt will attend the 4th of July Committee meetings. Fire contracts · Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch and the Laurel Airport Authority are yearly contracts and should be presented soon. Dispatcher position · Hiring process for the relief dispatch position is in progress. · Rick will submit a name to the Mayor next week. Library meeting · Peg will attend a bi-annual meeting of the South Central Federation of Libraries in Harlowton on Saturday, April 9th. · The library could use any available computers that have Windows XP. Union negotiations · Discussion regarding the location and date of the next union negotiation meeting Teamwork · Mayor Olson stated that the department heads need to function and work together as a team. · If an individual has a problem with an employee or department head, he/she should go to that employee or department head to resolve the issue. · If the issue is not resolved, the individual should contact the Mayor. · Mayor Olson encouraged everyone to act professionally and use their energy for positive things.
