COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM PRESENT: Mayor Ken Olson Larry McCann Steve Klotz Rick Musson Jan Faught Mary Embleton Peggy Arnold Keith Molyneaux Joel Bamhart Gay Easton Advertisement for individuals interested in the 4th of July Committee in March · Tentative date of Thursday, March 24th, at 7:00 p.m. to set up a meeting for organizations interested in participating in the 4th of July activities. · Joel will contact Scott Wilm regarding the meeting date, and Scott will contact the mayor to finalize the date. Laurel CitF Voice articles · Articles are due to Cindy by Wednesday, March 9th Discovering Montana Registered Services Agreement · At the council workshop on March 8t~, Larry will present a resolution authorizing thc mayor to sign a registered services agreement to obtain e-government services through thc State of Montana's wcbsite, DiscovcringMontana. o Requires an annual $50 fee o Registered individuals can access thc wcbsite to get official copies from thc county's files. ADA evaluation of city buildings · Crystal Bennett and Larry recently completed an ADA evaluation of the city's buildings. o The city will have to comply with ADA requirements in order to receive future loans from the Department of Commeme. o Susie Stevenson will complete an ADA evaluation from the perspective of a person in a wheelchair. ,, Discussion regarding the library's front doors and mirrors in the bathroom · Discussion regarding the need for ADA buttons at the back exit in city hall East First Street proiect · Doug Poehls recently asked Larry for an explanation of the timeline for the East First Street project. o Larry will present this timeline at the council workshop on March 8th. · Discussion regarding controlling the project in order to minimize the effect on access to Ricci's store · Discussion regarding the First Avenue seal and cover project o Bid was awarded to JTL. o Steve will find out the dates for the project. Department Head Meeting Minutes of February 28, 2005 · Main Street pre-construction meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2nil. Washing machine at FAP · EcoLab will install the system and program the washing machine next week. · Charge for soap will be $1.12 per load without sanitizer and $1.37 per load with sanitizer. Other Eleven people attended the HIPAA class last Thursday, and six more individuals need to attend a class. · Resolution for police motorcycles o Rick will present at the council workshop on March 8th. o Need to change "lease" to "purchase" in the resolution. · Procurement Policy o Need to wait to see what the legislature does with the statute before finalizing the policy. o Mary suggested that the policy follow state statute. o Discussion regarding tracking SB 636. · Coffee kiosk situation o Discussion regarding the site bond issue o Need to get information from Cai at the department head meeting on March 7th. · Park Plan o Discussion regarding need for legal advice on interpreting the laws, fee schedules, and RFP's. · Administrative Assistant Budget Calendar schedule o Mary distributed copies of the schedule for the administrative assistant/department head meetings and the council budget sessions with department heads. · Ambulance grant o Ambulance recently received ten backboards through a grant. o Some of the backboards could be used at the swimming pool.
