Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on August 13th, 2015 at the Palace. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President-Christy Williams,VP- Holly Anderson and executive secretary- Marcia Hafner.
Directors: Donnie McVee, Brent Renier, Mary Lou Batalden,Amanda Powell, Cindy Drake, Sandy Reese and
Ann Soares. Members: Heidi Jensen and Bruce Larson.
Christy called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve- Holly, 2"d -Sandy.
The financial report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve- Donnie, 2"d -
Holly.
Old BUSINESS
• July 4th- Marcia gave a final report on the 4th of July, including a summary of feedback
from the committee and suggestions for next year. Feedback was excellent from the
committee and the public. The racers definitely liked the 6th Avenue start. It was
suggested we start the 8-milers a 1/2 hour before the other racers. The parade route and
lineup went well. The 8th St. zig near Laurel Health and Rehab will be put back in the
route. The Craft vendors would prefer the old 8th St. location, closer to the food. They
reported they didn't have near the business at the new location. The Food Trucks are
always happy with their location. Using the Billings Food Truck Tracker was helpful in filling
the last minute cancellation.
• Board Member- Brent Renier was introduced. He is replacing Monna Rae for Altana FCU.
• Farmers' Market- The market is going OK, but we need more vendors and customers.
• Run T-Shirts - We have extra run t-shirts for sale.
New BUSINESS
• New Members- Northern Rockies Glass & Details. They will want a ribbon cutting.
• Ribbon Cutting - First Interstate Bank. We will be doing a ribbon cutting at their Grand
Opening next Wednesday.
• Christmas Decorations- We had 2 sets fall down last year and they will need to be
repaired. Marcia will call Dennis Eaton.
OPEN FORUM
• Laurel Map Redo - Marcia reported she would like to start working on that next year,
after the annual meeting. Several of the businesses have changed hands and it should be
updated.
• LURA - Heidi reported that TIF funds will be used to do storm drains on South Washington
and the striping and curbs on SE 4th

OLD BUSINESS
• Christmas Decorations- Lumpy expressed concern over the new decorations. The straps don't
seem to be strong enough. Dennis is doing some research.
• Sign - A note in Facebook and the Newsletter has not received a response.
NEW BUSINESS -
• New Members -
Adult Resource Alliance- Nonprofit providing a variety of services for senior citizens.
Northern Rockies Glass- We had the ribbon cutting. They are going to have a Grand
Opening with a pig roast, etc.
Mountain Land PT&Rehab. - Will want a ribbon cutting. Will also be having a Grand
Opening.
