AMENDING CHAPTER 15.24 OF THE
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, TO ADOPT THE
MODEL ENERGY CODE 1993 EDITION.
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that
Section 15.24 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.24.010 Adoption.
The Model Energy Code, 1993 Edition, published by the International Conference of
Building Officials, together with any appendix or subsequent amendments or additions thereto,
adopted or as may be adopted in the future by the Montana State Building Codes Bureau, as
applicable to local governments, is adopted by and declared to be the model energy code of the
city.
One full printed copy of the code shall be en .q!e available in the offices of the city
oag/-n~. The aforesaid, model energy code is adopted by reference and made a part of this
chapter as fully, and for all intents and purposes, as though set forth herein at length. It shall be
known and designated as the "Model Energy Code" of the municipality.
15.24.020 Updated references.
The Model Energy Code described in Section 15.24.010 is amended by the additions,
deletions and modifications set forth in the following sections of this chapter.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.

March, 1999, upon a motion by Alderman Eas~con
