AMENDING CHAPTER 15.36 OF THE
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, TO ADOPT THE
SIGN CODE 1997 EDITION.
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that
Section 15.36 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.36.010 Adoption.
The Uniform Sign Code, 4-994 1997 Edition, published by the International Conference
of Building Officials, together with any appendix or subsequent amendments or additions
thereto, adopted or as may be adopted in the furore by the Montana State Building Codes Bureau,
as applicable to local governments, is adopted by and declared to be the sign code of the city.
One full printed copy of the code shall be zn 5!e available in the offices of the city
engineer. The aforesaid, Uniform Sign Code is adopted by reference and made a part of this
chapter as fully, and for all intents and purposes, as though set forth herein at length. It shall be
known and designated as the "Uniform Sign Code" of the municipality.
15.36.020 Updated references.
The sign code described in Section 15.36.010 is amended by the additions, deletions and
modifications set forth in the following sections of this chapter.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the Laurel City Council on
March 2, 1999, by Alderman 3ohnson
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 16th day of
March, 1999, upon a motion by Alderman O 1 s on
