I've enclosed a nomination form for the Annual Eugene Carroll Historic Preservation Award. Please send your response / nomination by February 1, 2005 to allow adequate time to review the nominees. Joyce Jensen, the author of Pieces and Places of Billings History, was the 2003 recipient. Last year we honored Ruth Towe, former director of the Moss Mansion, for her outstanding contributions to historic preservation. We'll congratulate each of the nominees and announce the recipient of the award at our Annual Historic Preservation Roundtable on Tuesday morning, 7:30-9:30, March 15, 2005 at the Billings Depot. We hope you can attend. If you have any preservation concerns or comments please contact a board member or share them at our monthly board meeting (the third Tuesday of each month at 8:00 A.M., Billings city offices on the fourth floor of the Library). Carroll, former Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board member, past president of the Yellowstone Historical Society, and organizer of the Eastern Montana Historical Society, who died in November, 2001.
