AMENDING TITLE 15 OF THE
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, TO ADOPT THE
UNIFORM CODE FOR BUILDING CONSERVATION,
1997 EDITION.
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that
Title 15 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.18.010 Adoption.
A. The Uniform Code for Building Conservation, 1997 edition, published by the
International Conference of Building Officials, together with any appendix or subsequent
amendments or additions thereto adopted or as may be adopted in the future by the Montana
State Building Codes Bureau, as applicable to local governments, is adopted by and declared to
be the building conservation code of the city.
B. One full printed copy of the code shall be available in the offices of the city. The
aforesaid Uniform Code for Building Conservation is adopted by reference and made a part of
this chapter as fully, and for all intents and purposes, as though set forth herein at length. It shall
be known and designated as the "Uniform Code for Building Conservation" of the city.
15.18.020 Updated references.
The Uniform Code for Building Conservation described in Section 15.18.010 is amended
by the additions, deletions and modifications set forth in the following sections of this chapter.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the Laurel City Council on
April 6, 1999, by Alderman Johnson
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 20th day of
April, 1999, upon a motion by Alderman Johnson
APPROVED by the Mayor this 20th day of April, 1999.
