Maryland Street. When W. Maryland St. grows westward it will cross over an irrigation ditch that now services seven Big Ditch users south of W. Maryland St. and south of W. Ninth St. The concern on this new subdivision and street is that our irrigation ditch remains intact and functional. This is an established water way. Are there written rules and restrictions in place for the developer to follow if and when this project continues? Forgotten little details like irrigation ditches are very easy to doze in at construction time and an expensive error to correct after the fact. If some base rules are written out in the beginning, the area residents will feel ~re at ease with the development in the area. What action plan does the Laurel City Council have in place to protect this water way?
