Report
on the League of Cities and Towns Conference
Mary reported on the League conference held in Kalispell last week.
Proposals for legislative items were presented at the conference.
Update on the MMIA health insurance program
Report on the Dorsey-Whitney sessions
Sam attended a session on the liability of leasing city buildings to clubs.
Presentation was made on public power.
Cell phones
· New cell phones are ordered and old phones will need to be turned in soon.
Memorandum of Understand~nla
· Memorandum of Understanding regarding the court clerks joining the union will be
presented to the council soon.
Job descriptions
· - Utility Maintenance Worker II and II job descriptions need to be classified.
Local Law Enforcement Grant
· ~Police department received grant of $9,999 for a police car.
· ,City's match will be $11,981.
· .Grant will be on the October 26th council workshop.
AED's from Homeland Grant
· , Police department will put the old ambulance AED's in the patrol cars.

Peg will attend a three-day meeting in Helena to learn how to use the new circulation
system.
o Library materials will need new barcodes.
Keg ordinance
o City of Billings has a keg ordinance by virtue of the city charter.
o Bozeman is bringing the option forward for other cities.
Local Government Study Review
o Only one individual filed.
Today is the last day to file as a write-in candidate.
City wilt need to appoint two more people within twenty days after the election
(November 22"a).
The meeting adjourned at 4:43 p.m.
