Old Business
The flower boxes have been completed and are ready for soil and planting. With staff vacations coming
up soon, the flowers will have to wait until later in the summer. Rose Marie suggested that River Ridge
be called for a quote on soil since they are local.
The Internet Use Policy was presented for updating. Discussion followed concerning basic wording that
would encompass all ages/groups so some patrons wouldn't feel the guidelines pertained to them but not
other groups. The completed policy was reviewed again by Board members. Bruce motioned that the
Internet Use Policy be accepted as changed, Dixie seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The Laurel Centennial Committee donated their remaining funds to the Laurel Public Library
Foundation for the purchase of the Micro-Image Capture 7 microfilm reading/printer. The cost of the
Capture 7 is slightly over the donated amount. The balance will be paid by the Foundation. Use of the
Capture 7 will be under the tutelage of library staff or Judy Goldsby in the history section of the library.
