Greetings,
LARC—Laurel Aquatic Recreation Complex organized early in 2015 with a dream to build a facility
that will include an indoor aquatic center, gymnasiums and community rooms for Laurel and the
surrounding areas.
We believe in big dreams and believe that the citizens of Laurel are ready for and deserve a
top-notch,first class recreation center.
It is exciting to announce the first organization to pledge their support to us-the newly formed
Laurel Community Foundation, Inc. which will partner with us in the fundraising and financial
management side of this project.
For LARC to make this dream a reality we need participation and contributions at many levels:
1. Attend our meetings as we continue to brainstorm and plan.
2. Become a Sponsor for one of our upcoming fundraisers:
a. Laurel's own Lysa Fox and the Trevor Kreiger band will perform Patsy Cline on
August 15, 2015 in the LHS Auditorium
b. Vacation Get-Away Raffle
3. Offer your services and/or talents as in-kind donations.We need:
a. Posters,flyers and marketing materials
b. Architectural services
c. Grant Writers
4. Support or join our efforts during the weekend of the 4th of July in Laurel:
a. Concessions at the 3rd of July Jaycees Street Dance.
b. Jaycees Pancake Breakfast: Information table.
c. Entry in the 4th of July parade.
d. Information table at the shelter in Thompson Park.
