BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
March 31, 1998 7:00 p.m.

The Committee reviewed the following 1998-99 preliminary budgets:
City-County Planning Board
The Street budgets were reviewed again. After a lengthy
discussion it was suggested that a new street sweeper be
purchased from three different funds - (1/2 from Street
Sweeping Fund, 1/4 from State Gas Tax Fund, and 1/4 from
Street Maintenance Fund).
A purchase requisition in the amount of $2500 for a new computer in
the Clerk's office was approved. The current PC was purchased in
1984 and we are having problems with it. Parts of an old PC from
the Sewer Plant were used to try and solve the problem, but it
still is not working properly. This computer is used for the
Clerk's Index and for preparing minutes.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
