There was no public in attendance. Construction update on cemetery sprinkler system: Kurt reported the installation of the sprinkler system is going well. They are at the Catholic Section and close to being done. It has come to our attention that when the pipe bursting was done through Schessler's field, the line is only about 11/2 inches deep at the point where it connects to the valve at the cemetery. On Wednesday,we will dig a new trench and lower it to about 19 inches. The city crew has been hauling dirt from Markegard's farm for a stockpile to be used at the cemetery for graves and leveling. Extension of culvert from National Veteran's Cemetery: We have put$9,000.00 in the FY15-16 budget to fix the culvert. The county will also contribute$9,000.00 towards this project. Location of headstone in relation to curbs: In future sections that we open,we will mark off two graves(8 feet)on the end of each row to allow a turning radius for the mowers. The mowers are getting torn up by having to jump off and on the curbs when mowing. Once the sprinklers are in,we will be able to mark off a few areas where we can plant trees in the future. Tree removal where tree roots are upsetting headstones: It was requested to remove another tree in Section B where the roots have already spread to the surface on graves that do not have a burial yet. Kurt said money will be in the new budget to remove this tree. Other: The baby grave markers have been made. Once they are marked, the crew will install them. Dick Fritzler has resigned from the Cemetery Commission, effective April 10,2015. The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Cathy Gabrian
