MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2003 MEETING
Present: Bud Johnson, Kate Stevenson, Carol Strizich, Ken Olson, and Cal Cumin.
Members discussed the LDC's draft of contract to hire Cynroc as Economic Development
Coordinator entity. It was recommended that Cynroc be hired for two months at $4000 per
month and for six months at $2000 per month, and that the contract could be extended to at least
12 months if additional funding is obtained. Kate will have Judy open an account at the First
Citizens Bank.
Cai handed out drafts of the Natural Resources Element of Laurel's Growth Management Plan
and urged the members to at least read the Issues, Policies, and Strategies portion at the back of
the draft.
Kate provided an update on the LRL's Town Square Project. LRL has let the concrete work and
hopes to finish the project in the Spring.
