BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
MARCH 29, 1999 7:00 P.M.
OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS

The main purpose of the meeting was to begin budget review.
Budgets discussed were: Light District #2 Residential Area; Light District #3
Commercial Area; Streets - General Fund; State Gas Tax Fund; Street
Maintenance Fund; Sweeping District.
Light Districts: The city needs better lighting and will look into possibly setting
up another district. Larry will contact Montana Power for a survey.
Gas Tax: We have not received word yet from the state on our revenue allotment.
Larry would like to add a new position which would be split between Gas Tax,
water and sewer. Andy's position was never filled when he was promoted to
maintenance superintendent.
Sweeping District: We will look into increasing the assessments.
