BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
JUNE 17, 2003 5:00 P.M.

The Budget/Finance Committee was called to order by Bud Johnson at 5:00 p.m. There
was no public in attendance.
The minutes from the June 3, 2003 meeting were reviewed and approved.
The May Journal Vouchers #285 - 289 were approved.
The committee reviewed the May Financial Statements and recommended approval by
the council.
The following purchase requisitions were reviewed and approved.
GENERAL FUND
Paint flag poles $ 966.00
Fiberglass wrap for 6 park benches in Thompson Park $ 900.00
Removal of 1 tree & structural trimming at Thompson Park $1,500.00
35 NFPA approved brush boots for frremen $ 6,965.00
Engine work on Fire Engine #4 $1,500.00
Safety cones & barricades $ 60.56
Labor & materials to stucco exterior of council/court bldg. $ 8,960.00
LIGHT DISTRICT #3
Lighting underpass project $ 5,275.00
(MRL is paying $4,125 of this cost)
SWEEPING DISTRICT
Parts to fix SD-3 $ 4,278.04
GAS TAX
Safety cones & barricades $ 138.18
LIBRARY AID GRANT
2 computers with monitors $ 2,000.00

The committee reviewed the Comp/OT reports for PPE 6/8/03.
The Payroll Register for PPE 6/8/03 totaling $120,331.73 was reviewed and the
committee recommends approval by council.
The overtime report by the Police Department, for July 3ra and 4th, was presented and
the approximate cost will be $672.00.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2003. Gay stated he would be unable
to attend the meetings that day. The meeting adjourned at 5:14 p.m.
