A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
This meeting was called for the purpose of enlightening
and informing the members as to the operation and problems
confronting the ambulance crew.
The high-light of the meeting was the presentation from
representatives from both Billings Hospitals, with regards to
creating a trauma center, which will include the dispatching of
the helicopter to the scene.
Helicopter dispatch guidelines were presented to the
Ambulance crew for consideration. Several problems of past
experiences with the helicopter were discussed and some of the
problems were resolved.
I personally was impressed with the way the meeting was
handled, it was very professional. Everyone was recognized and
spoke their peace. Internal affairs were well handled, thought-out,
and resolved.
The City of Laurel should feel proud to have such a dedicated
group of volunteers operating the Laurel Ambulance service.
