Old Business
Tammy Bellinger has come to work at the library under the Experience Works program. She will be
scheduled for a minimum of 20 hours per week with an increase in hours as the EW budget allows.
Tammy has been placed at the library until she finds permanent employment elsewhere or completes a
four year term.
The request for use of the community room by Robert Carr is working out well. He has a group that
meets for bible study meetings. No offering is taken and all meetings are open to the public. The group
will start meeting on Fridays in March.
New Business
The furnace on the north side of the library has stopped working and needs to be replaced immediately.
Nancy received a quote from Seder's Heating& Cooling in the amount of$2,400, removal and
installation. The furnace will be replaced as soon as possible.
Nancy has the budget sheets and asked for input from Board members. Rose Marie said she would help
with the final budget numbers on Thursday, February 26 at 2:00 pm. The budget needs to be turned in
by March 2, 2015 to Shirley.
Dr. Ed Madrid will be offering Health Information presentations at the library on Tuesday evening in
March and April for 7 weeks. The presentations run from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on each of those dates.
These will be open to the public, free of charge. Because these will be on Tuesdays Nancy asked the
Board if they wanted to cancel the next two meetings or move them to a different date. Dixie motioned
that we change the time of the meetings from 6:00 pm to 5:30 pm on March 10th and April 14th. Rose
Marie seconded the motion, motion passed.
HRDC has asked that we accept a worker through the Work Employment program. The people placed
with us in the past haven't worked out very well but library staff is willing to try again. If problems
arise, the participant will be terminated from the library and moved to another location.
