RE: GROUNDWATER AND SALINITY MANAGEMENT FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS
Dear Bud:
The 2003 Legislature has recently adjourned and the final decisions on the grant
ranking and funding has been made. This grant cycle was very competitive and
because of state budget constraints, there was a total of $3,679,068 available. Out of
73 applications, only 40 were funded. Your project was not recommended for funding
by our agency and the legislature was in agreement. A list of all the approved projects
is enclosed for your information.
If you have questions regarding the legislative or ranking process, please call me at
444-6839. Your time and effor[ spent in the application and ranking process was
appreciated. We welcome you to reapply to our program in the next grant cycle and I
would be glad to work with you on submitting a new application.
Sincerely,
Pam Smith
