A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
The first order of business was the appeal for Norma
Larson. Discussion.
Article III, Section 8:
Members shall be answerable to the Director for conduct
and the Director shall have the authority to suspend or after
a hearing demote or discharge any member for any infractions
of the general policies of service. The hearing was dated
January 19, 1993.
Article V, Section B:
Any member other than probationary members may appeal
any decision of the Director to the Ambulance Committee
within 2 weeks. Appeal was dated January 20, 1993.
Fact Finding hearing dated January 25, 1993. Hearing
held January 28, 1993 lasting 3 hours.
Appeal decision held February 9, 1993.
After much discussion a motion was made by Jack Galusha,
seconded by Norman Orr, to uphold the decision of the Ambulance
Director to dismiss Norma Larson. Motion carried with 4 "Yes"
votes, 1 "No" vote, and Cheryl Marshall abstaining. The Appeal
decision was closed.
A reminder of the joint meeting with Park City and Columbus
on March 10th, 7:00 p.m., at the Park City Fire Hall.
A letter was read from the Department of Health and
Environmental Services EMS bureau.

Sharon Herman presented unpaid bills dating back to 1989.
They amount to about 5% of the total billing.
It was stated that this is the first time that the Laurel
Ambulance has operated out of the red.
Motion by Norman Orr, seconded by Jack Galusha, that the
committee is in favor of disposing of the unpaid bills and
turning it over to the Budget and Finance Committee. Motion
carried.
Dan Lowell thanked the crew for their activities.
