RSVP Program
o Workers in RSVP Program are retired people
o Police department has an RSVP worker that does transcribing.
o RSVP inquired whether the City had more work available for their members.
o Suggestion of individuals to pick up trash and pull weeds at FAP and City Hall
o Suggestion of someone to take minutes for council workshops and committee
meetings
o Supervisor needed to keep track of time worked

o Employee will retire on January 23fa.
o May create another opening; would also need to post that opening
o Salary range for library position discussed; depends on experience
· Discussion regarding process for posting job openings

o Work has started on the bridge.
o South side bank pier is up.
o Pump house will be tom down on Monday.

o Evaluation of building for ambulance needs to be done.
o Individual is out of the office until Thursday.

o Need to schedule a review of process for use of proper insurance forms
o Review of what and how to submit to MMIA
· Public Works
o Gary Colley begins as Code Enforcement Inspector on Monday.
Junk vehicles will be the first priority. · Needs to be done in conjunction with Police Department
· Public Works is responsible when junk vehicles are on the property
· Police Department is responsible when junk vehicles are on the street.
· Need to write as a joint order with both departments
· Boulevards are a gray area; ordinance states that junk vehicles cannot
obstruct the right of way; boulevards addressed as property
Expectations

Mayor asked each department head to develop a list of their expectations for the
year; could be some variability with as few as three or as many as twelve items
o List of expectations needs to be done by the meeting on January 7th
o Examples of clerk/treasurer expectations:
· Insurance claim process
· Application process
o One-on-one discussions with Mayor will be necessary after the next department
head meeting.
o Rick needs to develop expectations before he leaves next week.
Budget process
o Budget worksheets are due in the clerk/treasurer's office by January 28th.
o CIP proposals should be included.
Council Retreat
o Scheduled for January 18th at 8:00 a.m.
o Role and goals of the council will be discussed
